Inter Milan are interested in buying FC Inter in a move that could change the face of Serie A, according to reports.

According to the Mirror, Inter are one of several clubs interested in the Serie A title-winning side, with reports suggesting the Nerazzurri are looking to bring in a number of foreign players as they prepare for a run of European fixtures in December.

While the sale of the Rossoneri would be a major coup for the Serie B club, the move would be made only if a majority of the players who signed with the Rossonos in 2016 are also sold, according the report.

The club have been in negotiations with their owners for some time, with the sale having been discussed for some weeks, with a final sale not expected until the summer.

However, the news could be a blow to Inter who are currently chasing two of their top three targets in Luka Modric and Andrea Pirlo, with Modric set to leave Milan in the summer, and Pirlos set to move to Real Madrid.

With the current squad having been overhauled in the last transfer window, Inter have been keen to strengthen, and a deal would bring the club a major boost to their squad.

However the Rossoni are currently looking to add another defender to their ranks, with Alessandro Matri, who spent last season on loan at Genoa, the man they want to strengthen in January.
